RAC is undergoing significant organisational transformation. Our role is to support the Direct Sales function's change agenda. To do this, we are delivering a programme to Direct Sales Managers that addresses Capability, Commitment and Consequence, with the addition of some performance management processes and tools to augment their Core Enablers.

The programme consisted of coaching and workshops to get the Direct Sales managers leading more effectively and understanding the importance of procedural consistency and personal behaviour. The workshops were tailored specifically to reset performance expectations and communicate the required commercial and behavioural outcomes for the transformation. The consequences of failing to deliver these outcomes and best practice approaches for ensuring success formed part of the workshops and subsequent coaching.

A follow-up seminar will take place in August to evaluate the success of the programme and to super-charge commitment and compliance for the next stage of the function's commercial plan. There will be a practical emphasis on what has gone well over the past few months and where improvements need to be made, in order to ensure that there is lasting change with demonstrable commercial benefits.
